Radio project
One of the first audio projects I did was a radio commercial. I came back from a trip to a horse sale so I really hadn't started the project that much. So when I came back the first ten minutes I came back I got all of my lines typed and that was a lot faster than I expected me two. Then the rest of the school period I had got it memorized and it look everybody a day to get it all down. Then I got it all recorded in the same hour. The bad part about this was that i was sorta kinda getting tired. A really ugly thing that happened was that I had got it allo edited and I accidentally clicked the close button and it didn’t not save my project. Another good thing that happened was that I got it redone. Then we had to export it and put in a video or some text. So put in some text and i thought it was finished. Then my teacher said that we had to edit our audio. It was pretty hard trying to get started. But then I got the hang of it. Overall this has been one of the easiest things to do this nine weeks. So overall this project was pretty easy.
Pre act
This year since we are now in high school. We have to take the pre act test. Well that’s what I had to do. In the pre act we have had to things in math, English, reading, and science. The easiest subject in the act was science mostly because it was pretty easy. This really surprised me because my favorite class right now is agricultural science. The test was a little bit different from what i was thinking it would have been like. We had 30 minutes to work on our questions in English, math, and science. We had 35 minute to do reading. There was quite a few things that I didn't know about the ACT. They were things like the highest score you could only get 36. You could get into any college accept Harvard with a 34. Another tings it that you automatically get a ten if you spell your name right which is kinda dumb because when your in high school you should know how to fill in bubbles and spell your name right but in some ways that is kinda of good because it was kinda challenging to not fill the wrong bubble in. So overall it was actually pretty easy for my first time taking it.
video commercial
So for my video class which is the one I have this website for we had to make a video commercial. For this chose to do a device which was called the gripper that would help you pull horse mats when wet and filthy it would also help you keep your horse blankets from falling apart which made it easier to unsaddle and saddle your horses with it. The gripper which is the product would store away without a hassle you would just hang it up on the wall and it would stay there. The project was really easy to do, especially with a good teacher that taught you how to edit. How i filmed it i had my brother take videos of me using the product. And thanks to my fine horse who just stood there and let me put blankets on him. I am really thankful for my teacher who helped use his equipment to make my voice over. So overall this was pretty fun.
13 shots
For one of our projects for the video class we had to do a video over the 13 shots in video production. My partner Zach and I recorded our shots. It was not hard to get all of my shots done. The hardest part of was prob ly getting all of the shots edited. It took me ¾ of a class period to get them edited. This was probably one of the harder assignments we have had to do.
PSA
Another project we had to was to make a Public Service Announcement or a PSA. My partner Zach And I chose to do it over staying in school. We had to make story boards in order to know what to record in our shots. My partner and I had recorded all of our shots and we had it all edited we had our teacher check it for and it didn't tell enough about it so we had to rerecord it, but we got it all done and ended getting a 96% on the entire project.
Christmas greeting
Since it was Christmas time we had to create a Christmas greeting. This project was going to go on our TV channel. So we had to do a really good job on it. It wads really easy i got it all done in one day. probably the hardest part of it was getting the audio to stay around the minus 6 area. Other than that everything went pretty good. This was one of the easiest projects we had to do.
first blog of 2020 1/14/2020
This is my first blog for the 2020 semester. The 2019 Christmas break was pretty fun. I got a lot of things for Christmas. For example I got some air pods, shirts, and a play station. The day I got the play station my family and I played it for hours. Some of the games that I got with my play station were basketball and football. We also had Christmas with grandparents I got a hundred dollar visa gift card. Then on my other side I got a jacket and 200 hundred dollars. I did a lot of fun things over break I got to hangout with friends, played with my family on the play station, got to rodeo a little bit over break, and play high school basketball. It also was a bittersweet Christmas break I had to sell my good heading horse so I can make room for my new colt that I got this fall. But the greatest gift this year was probably getting to go to Florida this January. So overall this was an awesome Christmas I got a lot of great gifts and I am glad that I got to spend time with my family and my cousins which doesn't happen very often. So I loved this 2019 Christmas.
psa #2
We had another big project in our video class. The new project was to make a PSA good enough to be able to be award winning. This was a project for me that had to be done in two days because I was sick the first two days of the week then I had wednesday and thursday to get it done because I was going to be gone on vacation to florida and I wasn't going to be back when the project was due. The PSA that my partner and I chose was over buzzed driving. What we did was I sat in the chair and pretend to drink and then we took a shot of me leaving and then getting into the car and pretended to drive away. Then we played a crashing sound and added a website that they could go to and we were done with our project. The recording part of the video was actually quite easy my partner recorded the video while I sat there and acted. The editing part was really easy all we had to do was cut the parts of the video we did not want then we added some video effects and then some sound effects. So overall this was one of the big projects we did.
project horror
So we had to do another project. This time we had to create a video that was supposed to tell a story without using voice overs or any text. I chose to do my project on creating a horror story on the way to class. How I was going to make it scary I was by going around the school and finding scary parts and scary painting and acting like I was afraid of them. Then i was doing a point of view shot so it would like I was able to see them instead of just filming them. After each little clip I would put a transition fade in for my video so that it would look a little scary. Then at the end I walked into the classroom to make it look like I made it into the classroom. One thing that I would have liked to do differently for my ending was to have a jump scare instead of just having a simple ending of just fading out. I think that the scare would have gone well with it because it was a horror film. So overall I think this project went really well. I think I would like to do something like this again.
horror film
We had a new project for my video production class. This time we had to take footage from another person production company and we had to create a video story. The video story I was supposed to create a horror film. It was a girl who was trying to get away from a scary person in hazmat suit in a warehouse trying to kill the she woke up from her dream. How I made my video I went through all of the raw footage and watched it to see what I wanted to create. How I made mine I did she was standing behind a group of personal lockers then the killer saw her and chased her. Then they came around a cart and they pushed it back and forth the girl was trying to knock down the killer. Then the killer chased the girl around the warehouse then up the stairs. Then after they went up the stairs the killer locked the girl in the room and she tried to get out but the door was locked and the killer killed her with his axes. Then she awoke from her dream and went into the kitchen and told her friend about the dream then it was over. I really like these kinds of projects because you kinda get to create it your own way but you have to follow the script. Probably my least favorite part of the project was typing all of the credits into the end of the movie. I would really want to do this project again.
Chase scene
We had to do another video in our video production class. This time we had to do a chase scene. I chose to do a chase scene where kids were fighting and shoving each other. Then they took off chasing each other down the hallway and up the stairs. Then when the guy who was chasing the other guy caught up to him and choked him out. What I really like about this project was that it was really easy to do. The recording was really easy to get done. Another thing that was good that I didn't have to be the guy who had to be recording the shots and had to be the actor at the same time. So I really like doing that. What I don't like about this project was that I really did not get enough shots to make the chase scene film. That was my mistake though. Another thing that I didn't like was all the different shot angles to make enough jump cuts to make it look realistic. It looked realistic but the jump cuts would have made it look even more realistic. Overall this project was really easy to do compared to what I thought it would be. I would definitely do this project again.
